At the time of the 4007 launch, the company of Peugeot had a few problems trying to convince people that it could produce cars of sizes and types not present before in the manufacturer’s product range. The cars’ interior presents a lot of functionality and innovation. There is a flexible and smart seating configuration of five-plus-two, which can be used either for creating highly comfortable seating in the rear part of the cabin; with the normal amount of boot space available - 510 litres - or maximising the boot to a vast space of 1,686 litres. The equipment levels are high. Automatic air conditioning with climate control is in place as well as a radio and CD player with MP3 compatibility and a trip computer. Safety is also treated seriously. All essential features are in action - ABS, six airbags, a number of ESP set-ups and an ultrasonic alarm. The road performance is just stunning and the engines, HDi units especially, do an admirable job. The car handles well and has a plenty of grip. Steering is very responsive as it should be expected of four-wheel drive compact. Both fuel economy and carbon dioxide emissions are fair enough to say that the compact is both economical and environment-friendly – a pretty wanted features in the automotive world nowadays. The used Peugeot 4007 is made in such way that it can perform well both on the tarmac and off the road. Taking into account the safety and equipment levels, overall performance and transportation capabilities; it presents a good value-for-money ratio and is a decent used buy.
